On May 26, 2022, Kuwait’s Parliamentary Committee of Interior and Défense approved the new draft law concerning the residency of foreigners. Kuwait aims to increase and attract private investment, create a stronger services economy, and create an economy that would be attractive to global businesses and corporations and move away from the reliance of oil industry.

Under the new legislation all animals including domestic animals such as dogs, cats, and rabbits, shall be considered as ‘sentient beings. They are no more seen as objects or possession but from now , they shall be considered as legitimate family members.
