On May 26, 2022, Kuwait’s Parliamentary Committee of Interior and Défense approved the new draft law concerning the residency of foreigners. Kuwait aims to increase and attract private investment, create a stronger services economy, and create an economy that would be attractive to global businesses and corporations and move away from the reliance of oil industry.
